It's another week gone
A week already...whew....a weeks holiday is no better than a long lunch break...if that. College is the same as ever....new ballots for strikes.....while the world just keeps moving on. Riots in France for over a week now.....the French always seem to have a good time rioting...in 68 they changed the politics. Not too sure what they will achieve this time. The Dutch never riot.......... I don't think.......too middle class.......even the underclass in Holland are middle class! Pakistan president is pissed off with the world for not giving more aid.....c'mon world......give more aid! Perhaps because Pakistan now has a special relationship with the USA, in fact a special SPECIAL cosy relationship that the rest of the world........that they think the US should cough up for any disaster that befalls them. Stupid world......think about the people not the politicians. ............and so it goes.
Back fom Greece
Well, have just returned from Zakynthos or Zante. Apart from a couple of dull weather days ...one at the start and the other at the end.....and a hotel that smelt of dead dogs, babyshit and nicotine stained underwear.....it was a good place to be. We escaped the Kalamaki resort and hotel with a hired car...and with the good sense of Isolde we went down a track to look at a Villa on the beach.....a good ten kilometers from the rooms from hell and with a mountain range in between. What a good move. We met Soula, the widow of Ville Fiore, who was beautiful, charming and deserved the money we paid for the rooms....in fact even more...money that is. From then on it was a daily vist to Zycanthos Town....a wheel around the views...and every second day a 10K run. The food scene...whew.....some desperately bad mistakes....and some gems.
