London

Man at crossroad. Transport For London..................more please. It seems that as the building trade goes into free fall with the credit crunch.....some of the Polish builders have taken to riding Bike Cabs. Listening to the guys standing around at the rank four out of six were speaking Polish. Surely not....that looks like MacDonald's to me. "Crooked Surgeon" With that sort of name, why would you want to eat there.................? Comedy all the time! The space left after the incredibly ugly Swiss Centre was pulled down.

Monkey, Journey to the West: A night at the opera

Image
The view from the balcony. Across the way. Fire screen: Characters in the opera. The good seats. Damon Albarn in the house. Great first opera. It was often visually stunning. More singing would not go amiss. Monkey himself was almost excellent but his character was not particularly endearing. Rather than being the "Cheeky Chappy" he came across as an irritating beast who scratched his balls one time too many. The music and singing were, I guess, good. With nothing else to judge them by....................pretty good. The gymnastics were mind boggling. If for nothing else, going to the opera to see stunning acrobats/martial artists would be novel in itself...and worth every pound. A brilliant night at the opera.

York Races or IKEA with Beasts

Image
This society is not a meritocracy...rather an accountancy. The bigger the balance, the better the view........perhaps! Philip Treacy has a lot to answer for. Virtual Winner. A day at the races.

Imagine IKEA with animals running around and plenty of booze. York Races

Image
Woman anticipating.........! Excited at the prospect. Interior with no horses.......some say! Them over there looking at us over here with a beast run in between. Punters in reflected clouds. Man Hat..............York Races. Winners. Woman waiting for horse to pass by! Horse people. Jockey.....he didn't win. Nice hair. York Station looking towards the North Pole.
