Well, it gets to that time in life when messages are sometimes not so cool, anticipated....sure, but not so good. Had one yesterday................that got me going. Mom had had a stroke..............all be it a mini stroke but a stroke all the same......and for me one stroke is the next thing to a stroke......big stroke, small stroke.....they are all leading the same way.............so, things are begining to change again, moving on. Leicester Square :One light working and running man with mobile. Went up town last night (trouserless) and went to the movies...saw "The Beat that my Heart Missed". What a nice little movie....sort of sexy, good tale well told. Worth a visit to the cinema.........and then catch up with it a year later on DVD. The evening was warm almost sultry, so being trouserless was not a problem....that man thing, cold weather and shrinkage....not nice....bad aesthetics...........and nobody seemed to blink an eyelid. I was just spending the sweetest time at the gym, doing gym things, watching muscles grow, define themselves and show off to the phatt phucker on the rowing machine as well as stimulating the geezer with the body of god to do more. All very satisfying, body feeling strong, the brain washed clean.......all that was needed now was a good shower and springy walk home. 21st December: went this morning to my chiropractor-needed him to play with the spine. He said it was looking good...though he still spent half an hour manipulating bits and pieces. On the way back I thought I would pass through Clapham on the way to Brixton Hill where I used to live........hence the pic. Clapham Park Estate looked much the same. A few odds and ends have been renovated and there were a number of forlorn looking shop fronts with the Clapham Park Project Logo attached. Two were about work opportunities! So what's good about that? exaggerated morning. So this is the week before Christmas. The last week of college was hell. I was supposed to have collected in the work the students had completed for me and assess it............. instead I "had to" give over the time they had with me to complete the work for others! What else happened last week....yeh I was dead tired. I was almost killed three time a day by fucked up car drivers...........it's usually twice a day, going to and coming home from work, last week the getting to work people had more on their minds than usual. Not killing a cyclist seemed to be pretty low down on their priorities. Perhaps scratching their arse took precedent! Went to dinner with my students....................unbelievably sweet event...............then we went ice skating later. Yesterday was odd.............I had no energy...not even to get to gym.....so just lay around and chilled. Watched the final of X-Factor..what can one say!

Spent last Friday with a group of my students up at Camden Market. I managed to get myself into one of the pictures. Only three out of 15 students had been there and amazingly................ those three and only one other had heard of it......the biggest, trendiest market in London. What else? Today we were on strike across the nation............NATFE.....that is..............sad/cold, further education teachers stood outside colleges the length of the country with banners saying someting like.....give us some more money ...please............perhaps another 6,000 a year would not go amiss........it would just bring us up to the same wage as primary/secondary school teachers. 'fraid nobody is gonna listen....not after the "black propaganda" of the previous day when "FAILING FE COLLEGES TO BE SOLD OFF TO PRIVATE COMPANIES" was the news item on all the media.............strange really...the timing........and not a word was said about the strike the next day. My view on strike action as changed..........until today I was a scab......I worked through every strike called................my students were more important to me.
