So what's going on then?
Well there is bugger all to write about really. the Zimbabwean election was run and won by Bobby Mugabe a month ago................. so no news there then. The German Chancellor will not be going to the opening ceremony of the Olympic games.........and Beijing has pulled a funny face and said "who she?".......and no.................. they will not be inviting the Dali Lama to dinner either...................Gordon Brown will be going...........to show his support.................for....................Haggis..............perhaps? It's understood that all Chinese athletes have been training with coal bags over their heads.........................and Beijing city council.......far from cutting back on cars in the run up to the games will be handing out old diesel bangers to all families in the city who have stuck to the one child rule.........this is in an effort to cut down on the population and the inevitable pollution that a two or even three child family would bring.
