John from Runcent in North Cross Road,
East Dulwich is a brilliant "One Man"
Show. Turned up at 9:00, said little, drank
copious cups of tea while demolishing (gently)
the old sash windows and replacing them
with the the new. It's going to take two days
per window....so John will be around till

Monday....when he's gone I will have to paint

them.

Halfway through the day.

Lights along the front. The procession emerges out of the the dark having wound it's way down the hill at the back of the "village" Local Lads out on the town. The Fire works begin. Hanging around and fidgeting. The local Press get ready for St Anne to arrive. It's said that she is the Patron Saint of Sailors/Sea. The boys is red and blue seemed to be in control of the youngsters as the procession continued down to the beach after the fire works. St Anne appeared out of the dark. Devotees. St Anne looking resplendent carried by the men in black. The figure is carried into the church.
