....time takes.......a bit more than......a cigarette

I held my mothers hands for the first time in 60years. I sang her songs and managed to get her to clap in time. She joined in singing as well. I showed her how to rotate her wrists and ankles, grasp two fingers tightly and then relax. She smiled and laughed singing  about the dog in the window...the one with the waggly tail. 

We have agreed that "a song a day keeps the blues away"........and.....time takes a cigarette.

Lights along the front. The procession emerges out of the the dark having wound it's way down the hill at the back of the "village" Local Lads out on the town. The Fire works begin. Hanging around and fidgeting. The local Press get ready for St Anne to arrive. It's said that she is the Patron Saint of Sailors/Sea. The boys is red and blue seemed to be in control of the youngsters as the procession continued down to the beach after the fire works. St Anne appeared out of the dark. Devotees. St Anne looking resplendent carried by the men in black. The figure is carried into the church.
