Education in the Square....Taleban and Velazquez

Grizzly old fart was probably complaining about the protest!

Nice looking crowd......but where were my students.......................in fact it was a bit of a washout altogether....there should have been hundreds of thousands of students with their parents and friends.....instead .....................there was what seemd a noisy thousand or so activists.....shame.

While they roamed the streets looking for a government/peer group/public/dog to bark a response I went to take a look at the £12.00 a shot Velazquez show at the National Gallery. He was a genius at 19 with some pretty impressive work.........I guess he stayed a genius for a while longer...perhaps until he snuffed it.........perhaps not..........there are too many Art Historians careers on the line for that not to be the case. There was one painting with a number of very pointy El Greco noses in it .......................did they go to the El Pointy Nose club together?

There was a piece in the Observer today about the Taleban.........the article mentioned that a teacher in Afganistan was beheaded for daring to educate young women (There you go Socialist Workers Party............................have a rally condeming that obscenity................by the way you could also mention along the way your issues with Bush and Blair as well..................nothing stopping you doing that) What occured to me was thet these relgious fanatics and their opologists are so hateful of themselves and humanity that if they were not doing the god thing I suspect that they would all be pornographers. Posted by Picasa
