Apparently the money has run out to encase the stadium in a protective skin which is needed to prevent wind interfering with the athletes while they compete. Word has it that commercial businesses have been approached to sponsor the covering. I would like to suggest Durex.......cover the stadium, Kapoor's Folly and the pricks who missed the opportunity of commissioning a truly magnificent building.

However.....there is an exhibition at the Viewing Tube by Jeanette Barnes of her wonderful drawings of the building of the Stadium. Sadly...only for two days....4/5 June. Perhaps you can find them at www.jeanettebarnesart.com!

Lights along the front. The procession emerges out of the the dark having wound it's way down the hill at the back of the "village" Local Lads out on the town. The Fire works begin. Hanging around and fidgeting. The local Press get ready for St Anne to arrive. It's said that she is the Patron Saint of Sailors/Sea. The boys is red and blue seemed to be in control of the youngsters as the procession continued down to the beach after the fire works. St Anne appeared out of the dark. Devotees.
