Devonish Sunday


Devonites on a Sunday morning..........
a bit ritualistic.................some might
say .....others might not?

Instead of frenzied singing and throwing
themselves on the ground in rapture...this
pair feel that standing around in brightish
clothes...smoking and smiling........is
worship enough. Hallelujah.

Lights along the front. The procession emerges out of the the dark having wound it's way down the hill at the back of the "village" Local Lads out on the town. The Fire works begin. Hanging around and fidgeting. The local Press get ready for St Anne to arrive. It's said that she is the Patron Saint of Sailors/Sea. The boys is red and blue seemed to be in control of the youngsters as the procession continued down to the beach after the fire works. St Anne appeared out of the dark. Devotees. St Anne looking resplendent carried by the men in black. The figure is carried into the church.
